We use chart director to various charts and dials in our web reporting system. We are looking at doing heatmaps (http://www.b-eye-network.com/view/2673). Is this something that you guys would be looking at developing?

Hi Jeremy,

Yes. We will definitely have heat maps in the next version of ChartDirector.

However, the link you mentioned in your message is not a heat map. According to the article, it is called a "tree map". Currently, "tree map" is not planned in the next version of ChartDirector. If you need to draw a "tree map", you would need to draw it with your own code, using a bubble chart with square bubbles.

Hi andrew,

Heat map will be available in ChartDirector Ver 5.0.

Currently, there is a release candidate of "ChartDirector for .NET Ver 5.0" and "ChartDirector for JSP/Java Ver 5.0" are available, with fully documentation and sample code included. The link the download the above two editions are in the following forum message:
