Hi titi,

Sorry that I am not familiar with French. I have translated your message using an online translation tool, and I think I partially undrestand your enquiry.

I assume you are using "ChartDirector for PHP". There are many methods to install "ChartDirector for PHP". Using "php.ini" is one of the methods, and there are other methods too. The details depend on your PHP version and configuration.

If you are using PHP before 5.2.4 on Linux, FreeBSD, Solaris or Mac OS X, and your PHP is fully functional, you may be able to install ChartDirector without any PHP configuration.

If you are using PHP 5.2.5 or above, or if your PHP has some features disabled (such as with "dl" function disabled, or with the web directory mounted as "no exec"), you may need access to the PHP extension directory.

If you are using multi-threaded version of PHP, or if your PHP is "safe mode", you would need to modify "php.ini".

For details, please refer to the installation section of the "ChartDirector for PHP" documentation.

It is suggested you use a hosting vendor that provides fully working PHP (without using "safe mode" and will all PHP features enabled). If you need to access the PHP extension directory, or "php.ini", and you are not the administrator, you may consider to ask the administrator for help. Some hosting companies are willing to help their customers.

Some PHP installations using CGI mode can support private "php.ini". If this is the case, you can create your own "php.ini".

Hope this can help.

Regards
Peter Kwan
