Multiple colors in Gantt ASP demo
Posted by Jan Harald on Nov-19-2008 00:42
Is there an easy way to make each line in the ASP demo show in different colors?
I am making a project progress schedule, and it would be nice if each line (vertical entries) have the different colors. Reason for this is that my client wants it to look like the one they already use in a desktop software solution.

Hi Jan,

I think the answer to your enquiry is yes. ChartDirector can make most lines in the chart different in colors.

However, I am not exactly sure which type of "line" you are referring to, so I cannot suggest the exact code. Is it possible to attach a sample chart to help me understand the type of "line" you want to color?

Regards

Thank you. I have looked at some of the examples, and i think I have found the answer.
By lines I really ment the different horizontal collections corresponding to the titles on the Y axis. Eg. Each title, and the graphic on that "line" (everything on that line) have a seperate color. But I think I saw the solution in the advanced gantt expamle. I will try that and post another if it does not work.

Thank you - I did not even know it was possible to do this until I saw your software on the list of my service provider, and coincidentally looked it up.
I have been doing it in a very complicated way with CSS... And I never got it to work properly. Here I can just feed the values and your software handles the rest :)
