Bubble Charting - Showing bubbles scattered |

Hi everyone,
We have a challenge, in that we need to be able to graph severals bubbles that have the same x,y coordinates scattered so to avoid bubble overlapping.
Would that be possible with Chart Director charts - and if so, how would you go about it?
Thanks for any professional input

Hi Peter,
By definition of what are (x, y) coordinates, if several things have the same (x, y) coordinates it means they overlap.
Do you mean you want to see the bubbles even if they have the same (x, y) coordinates (and therefore overlap)?
There are many methods to see overlapping bubbles. For example, you may use one or more of the following techniques:
(a) Use different shapes for the bubbles. For example, one bubble can be circular, another elliptical, and the third a square.
(b) Use semi-transparent colors for the bubbles.
(c) Use different hatch patterns for the bubbles. For example, if one bubble is using a horizontal hatch pattern, and one using a vertical hatch pattern, when they overlap, you can see a grid hatch pattern.
See "Bubble XY Scaling" for an example.
Hope this can help.
