How to create a US map and a World map with heat map, overlayed objects etc? |

Does Chartdirector has any component that we can use to generate US and World maps? Features such as color coded geographic areas and overlayed charts like bar, pie, pyramid etc will help in great way to represent data geographically.
Does anyone has any idea to achieve this using Chart Director?
I know that I can get static chart images with google api but it would be great if ChartDirector has such features... you do not want to rely on external components and servers for your enterprise data presentations. |

Hi Ann,
Because a geographic map is a static object (it does not change), we usually suggest people to just use static images for the map.
To overlay ChartDirector charts on the map, you may treat the map as a background image of a MultiChart container. Then you can insert charts at different places on the MultiChart container.
Hope this can help.
