  Ideas for Thermostat gauge
Posted by Rob on Nov-09-2010 01:22

Does anyone have any ideas for displaying a 'thermostat' type gauge?
Something that shows the current temperature, Heat/Cold setpoints?

Thanks!

Hi Rob,

Is a linear meter (with colored zones, and one or more pointers) suitable for your case? See the bottom horizontal meters in http://www.advsofteng.com/gallery_meter.html.

You may use the background colors to indicate the setpoints, and/or you may use the pointers to indicate the setpoints. In a multi-pointer meter, each of the pointer can be of a different shape, so you can use different pointer shapes for setpoints and for the current temperature.
