Hi huraira,

Actually, I am not sure what is "line map". (I do not remember the term "line map" being used in the ChartDirector documentation. I tried google for "line map", but it does not seem to return anything useful.)

For "image map", it is used to define "hot spots" (regions responding to mouse actions, such as clicks, mouseover, pop-up tooltips, etc) on an image. ChartDirector can generate image maps for the charts, so that different regions in the charts can respond to mouse actions. For example, in a Pie Chart, ChartDirector can create image maps to make the slices and the labels responding to mouse actions (clickable, has tooltips, etc).

ChartDirector image maps are in standard HTML image map format (the same format is used even in desktop applications), and ChartDirector can understand standard HTML image maps. This allows you to easily create custom clickable regions on the chart. For example, you may add your own company logo on the chart or other special shapes on the chart, and make it clickable.

Hope this can help.
