  Encoding issue

I am trying to make a graph with ChartDirector using Korean caracters for my labels.
I wrote my code in python using vim (encoding & fileencoding as utf-8), my locale on my debian box is utf-8, I am using UnDotum which is an utf-8 korean font.

Yet the caracters do not display well, as you can see in the attached image.

Would you know what is going wrong ?

Seems it works with "Arial Unicode.ttf" as a font name.
