Hello,
I would like to move to Realbasic my app developed years ago in VB6.
Since I use your ActiveX control (chartviewer.ocx) with the reladed COM dlls, I'm wondering if I still can use it under Realbasic, or if I need to buy the plugin developed by one of your partner (frankly speaking I would prefer not to spend money again...).
Please let me know.
Regards

Hi Pietro,
Unluckily, the Realbasic plug-in is ported and owned by our partner, and does not really belong to us. We do not have any right to that plug-in. So I am worry you would need to buy the plug-in from our partner.
If you would like to use any other language editions of ChartDirector developed by us (whcih are listed on our web site), you can do so without buying another license, but unluckily these language editions do not include Realbasic.

Pietro: I had the same situation. It is possible, but difficult, to call a .ocx from RealBasic. Look at the .ocx with NotePad to see what .dlls are needed. They may include the VB6 runtime library. However, it is much easier to use the RealBasic Plugin. So, unless your budget is really, really tight, and you can debug subroutine calls at the machine-code level, go with the Plugin. |
