PDF output? |

Hello,
I'd like to use ChartDirector to make charts for placing in Adobe InDesign. The text in
ChartDirector PNG files is very soft, and won't be acceptable for high-quality printing, even
if I dramatically increase the pixel count and scale the image down in InDesign. What I
need is vector text.
Apparently I can get that with SVG output, but current versions of InDesign don't support
SVG files. I'd rather not have to use ImageMagick or some other trick to turn them into
PDFs.
So my question: is there any announced timeline for vector PDF support in ChartDirector?
Thanks! |

Hi Chuck,
Unluckily, we cannot commit on a timeline when we will have direct PDF output. I am worry at this point, you would need to use an external program to convert the SVG into a format supported by Adobe InDesign. (We have seen customers that use svg2eps to convert the SVG to EPS and use the EPS in their system.)
