  Simple example in excel
Posted by Alex on May-05-2017 15:49
Hello!

I'm just starting to study this product. I'm writing macros on VBA in excel. Can someone help me and show an example of a file with a macro that would create any diagram in the same file?

And one more question. If I want to make an excel file with a macro that I will pass to my friend - so that he can create diagrams in this file - what version of the program should I buy?

Thank you

Hi Alex,

I have attached two VBA Excel examples for your reference. They need to be used on a computer with "ChartDirector for ASP/COM/VB" installed.

The cd_excel_demo4.zip uses the ChartDirector ChartViewer to display the charts with tooltips. It requires 32-bit Excel. (You can use 32-bit or 64-bit Windows, but the MS Office should be 32-bit.)

The cd_excel_demo6.zip uses ChartDirector to create the chart, but just uses the regular VBA picture control to display the chart. This can work on both 32-bit and 64-bit Excel. It can display all ChartDirector chart types, but would not have data point tooltips.

Hope this can help.
