  3D Depth Chart - Basic question re: Chart Depth
Posted by James Johnson on Feb-17-2025 11:52
I have a simple question re: Bar Chart Depth graphs.  Not looking for an answer per se but where I might find a lead.

I like to make a quick note that our organization has been using Chart Director for 10+ years and have enjoyed it's success for us.  Kwan has been here from the beginning.  We have always appreciated his professionalism in helping so many of us here to get out of a rut.

My question is this.  Can you increase the 'z' or depth axis on the 3D Chart Depth Bar.  Our format here would be well adapted to a depth slightly deeper (say 2, 3x).

Thanks,

J. Johnson

Hi James,

Yes, the depth is configurable with Layer.set3D. See:

https://www.advsofteng.com/doc/cdnet.htm#Layer.set3D.htm

For example:

layer.set3D(5, 10);

The following is an example that uses a larger spacing between layers and have some gap between layers. For example:

Best Regards

May I concur with James' comment. It has been my experience over the last 20+years as well. Speedy answers, always to-the-point. More than just helpful, comforting!

In a world where at times new software shops may disappear before you can even evaluate their support, this is indeed unique.
